Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed and cut
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soy sauce optional
  • 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the green beans for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, salt, and soy sauce (if using).
  • Add the cooked green beans to the mixture and stir well to coat.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle half of the crispy fried onions on top.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven.
  • Add the remaining fried onions and shredded cheddar cheese (if using).
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

📌For a fresher taste, use homemade mushroom sauce instead of canned soup.
📌Frozen green beans can be used instead of fresh ones; just thaw and drain before cooking.
📌Add cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
